11-year-old Lake Weir Middle School student arrested after allegedly pushing teacher

An 11-year-old Lake Weir Middle School student was arrested after allegedly pushing his teacher during a fight with another student.

The student was arrested Tuesday after a fight with a fellow student over a basketball during a physical education class, according to an incident report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

The teacher wedged herself in between the two students to break up the fight. After she had separated the two students, the 11-year-old again started pushing the teacher in an attempt to go after the other student.
