A 21-year-old was arrested Wednesday after she allegedly repeatedly rammed the rear end of a vehicle driven by her former friend on Rolling Acres Road.

Tayelor Lynn Smith of Lady Lake is free on $2,000 bond following her arrest on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The victim called law enforcement at about noon Wednesday from the parking lot of The Villages Elementary of Lady Lake. She said Smith had rammed the back of her car several times. The victim said she had been driving at speeds of up to 70 miles per hour to try to get away from Smith’s vehicle, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.

Another officer picked up Smith and took her to the school parking lot where she was identified by the victim.

There was damage to the back of the victim’s car and paint transfers on the front of Smith’s vehicle, the report noted.
