19-year-old Ocala woman critically injured in accident in which truck overturns

A 19-year-old Ocala woman was critically injured in an accident in which a truck overturned Sunday afternoon in Levy County.

Kathleen Cook had been at the wheel of a 2001 Toyota Tundra at 2:31 p.m. which had been traveling on State Road 121 when it left the roadway and overturned, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

Cook and a passenger, 23-year-old Keenan Poupart of Crystal River, were both ejected from the vehicle. He suffered serious injuries.

Both were transported to UF Health at Shands in Gainesville.
