2014 Nissan Frontier sought in hit-and-run accident that claimed life of 37-year-old man

A 2014 Nissan Frontier, with right front headlight and side damage, and a missing passenger side rearview mirror is being sought in connection with a hit-and-run accident in Leesburg.

The body of Robert Glennon, 37, of Leesburg, was discovered at 7:55 a.m. Sunday on the shoulder of the roadway of U.S. Hwy. 27 at Howard Road. Glennon had been walking on the northbound side of the roadway when he was struck and killed by an unknown make/model vehicle which fled the scene, according to the Leesburg Police Department.

Glennon was pronounced dead at the scene by Lake EMS.

The investigation is ongoing and police are encouraging anyone with information regarding this incident to contact the Leesburg Police Department/Traffic Unit at (352) 787-2121.
