A 33-year-old Lakeside Landings resident was arrested on a felony charge of driving while suspended after admitting he was “backed up on some tickets.”
Phillip Scott Williams’ 2010 Mitsubishi was pulled over Monday on Rainey Trail near Lake Miona Park for having a registration tag that had expired 10 months ago, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.
His driving privilege was suspended for accumulating 24 points in 36 months, and he was suspended again for 12 points in 12 months.
He was convicted in 2016 in Sumter County for driving while license suspended and also that same year on the same charge in Lake County.
He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on $2,000 bond.
