Villager’s son arrested after banging on mother’s door and screaming for money

Douglas Martin Houck Jr.

A Villager’s son was arrested after banging on his mother’s door and screaming for money.

A woman who lives in the Vista Sonoma Villas in Spanish Springs contacted police at about 4 a.m. Sunday after her son, 31-year-old Douglas Martin Houck Jr., showed up at her home and banged on the door. He wanted money and access to her home, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.

The woman had obtained an injunction against her son and he had been served on Jan. 7 with papers notifying him of the injunction.

She provided police with a description of her son, who had fled prior to the arrival of law enforcement. He was found at the Shell station at 3 LaGrande Blvd. on the Historic Side of The Villages.

Houck was arrested for violating the injunction. He was booked without bond at the Lake County Jail.
