Sound engineer sentenced in wake of arrest during Scooter the DJ performance

Phillip Scott Williams

A sound engineer has been sentenced in the wake of his arrest during a Scooter the DJ performance in The Villages.

Phillip Scott Williams, 35, who lives at 1319 Teakwood Lane on the Historic Side of The Villages, was working the sound booth Jan. 3 during a performance by Scooter at Spanish Springs Town Square, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. Williams was spotted by a Lady Lake police officer who was aware Williams was wanted on a Sumter County warrant. The Pennsylvania native was taken into custody and during a subsequent pat down, a pink plastic container was found in his pocket. It contained a clear plastic bag and two plastic straws, all with the residue of cocaine, as well as a piece of aluminum foil containing cocaine.

Williams has been working as an entertainment and special events technician in The Villages since 2014, according to his LinkedIn page.

Last week in Lake County Court, Williams entered a plea of no contest in the case. He has been placed on probation.

In 2016, Williams was arrested twice for driving while license suspended. In 2017, he was arrested at Lake Miona Park.
