Director of executive golf maintenance tenders his resignation in The Villages

The long-time director of executive golf maintenance in The Villages has tendered his resignation.

Eric Van Gorder is leaving his post as executive director of golf maintenance. He has accepted a position in Okinawa, Japan.

Gorder took on his position with The Villages in December 2010.

Prior to that, he was a senior project manager with Down to Earth Landscaping Inc. here in The Villages.

District Manager Richard Baier indicated that several applications have already been received to fill Van Gorder’s post.
