Gerald Galvin

Gerald A. Galvin, of Summerfield, FL, age 79, passed away May 12th after a courageous battle with cancer.

He leaves behind his adored wife of 59 years, Christel (Oswald) Galvin who he met in Germany while being stationed in the US Army.  He also leaves behind three children, Gerald Galvin, Randi Fleck and Kirsten Brann, together with many loving grandchildren.

In his working years, he was employed by New England Telephone and AT&T in Wilmington, Massachusetts where he grew up and continues to have long time friends.  He moved to Florida with his wife in 1995 where he enjoyed retirement to the fullest.

Jerry enjoyed traveling including numerous trips overseas and cruising the Caribbean.  He embraced spending time with his family and always greeted everyone with his infectious smile.  He will be sadly missed by all who he touched.

Service arrangements will follow and be announced at a later date.
