A 74-year-old Wildwood woman was arrested after allegedly swinging her purse at another woman during a brawl at her home.
Sumter County sheriff’s deputies were called Sunday afternoon to the home of Cathleen Skelton Tolson, located south of U.S. 301 in Wildwood, just outside the Village of Fenney. A woman told deputies that Tolson had told her, “Stay out of my cabinets and get out of my house,” before swinging her purse at her and striking her on the left side of the face. She had a “raised red mark on the left side of her neck,” the deputy wrote in the arrest report.
A witness confirmed what had taken place. Tolson was taken into custody and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on $5,000 bond.
This marks Tolson’s second arrest this month. She had been arrested June 4 after allegedly dumping coffee on a woman and breaking her phone.
