22-year-old arrested by police while driving golf cart stolen last year

A 22-year-old Fort Lauderdale man is facing a charge of grand theft after he was arrested by Lady Lake police while driving a stolen golf cart.

Jonathan R. Bedard was arrested at 12:49 p.m. July 17 while driving the golf cart at Griffin Avenue and U.S. Hwy. 27/441. The golf cart’s description and vehicle identification number matched that of a golf cart reported stolen Oct. 26, 2013 in Sumter County.

Bedard was jailed in Lake County on $2,000 bond.

The golf cart has a value of $7,500, according to the arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.
