A 24-year-old resident of The Villages was arrested on a violation of probation after a vehicle she was driving was pulled over shortly before 10 a.m. Thursday at the Hampton Inn on County Road 466.

Candace Jo Talaga who lives on Chavez Court in The Villages had been driving on CR 466 when a Sumter County sheriff’s deputy noticed an expired tag on her vehicle.

She originally told the deputy that the valid tag had fallen off, according to the arrest report. But then she admitted to the deputy the tag had expired and she was on probation because of a narcotics charge. A criminal history check revealed her license was also revoked. Part of her probation stipulated that she not drive, the arrest report indicated.
