24-year-old woman critically injured in two-vehicle collision in Marion County

A 24-year-old woman was critically injured Monday afternoon in a two-vehicle collision in Marion County.

Tabitha Singleton of Belleview was transported to Ocala Regional Medical Center after the accident at 3:31 p.m. at SE 96th Place Road and SE 67th Ave Road, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

She had been driving a 2000 Toyota truck when she turned in front of a 2015 Chevy Silverado driven by 48-year-old Douglas Payne of Belleview, the report indicated. Singleton’s truck overturned as a result of the collision.

Singleton had not been wearing a seatbelt, the report noted.
