29-year-old man killed when vehicle collides with tree in Marion County

A 29-year-old man was killed when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree Wednesday morning in Marion County.

Nicholas Link of Interlachen had been at the wheel of a 2016 Dodge Charger at 5:06 a.m. on County Road 315 and NE 245th St Rd when the vehicle left the roadway and began to overturn, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol. While overturning, the roof of the car struck a tree.

Link was pronounced dead at the scene.
