A 33-year-old woman was killed in an accident at 6:20 a.m. Monday in Marion County.
Amber Mann of Salt Springs was eastbound on County Road 314 when for unknown reasons the right side wheels of her vehicle went onto the south grass shoulder, according to Florida Highway Patrol. She corrected to the left before the right side wheels again went onto the south shoulder.
She then over-corrected to the left causing the vehicle to begin a counterclockwise rotation as it veered across the center line and
into the westbound lane and path of a vehicle driven by Phillip Johnsen, 46, also of Salt Springs, the FHP report said.
Mann was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:35 a.m.
Johnsen suffered serious injuries and was taken to Munroe Regional Medical Center for treatment.
