53-year-old woman arrested after allegedly hitting her live-in boyfriend in Village of Lake Deaton

A 53-year-old woman was arrested after allegedly striking her live-in boyfriend Thursday night at their home in the Village of Lake Deaton.

Sumter County sheriff’s deputies were called shortly after 10 p.m. to their home in the 700 block of Ironwood Lane.

Melissa Jane Glazier admitted to a deputy that she had struck her live-in boyfriend of 15 years. He declined medical treatment of a small laceration on his ear, according to the arrest report.

She was arrested on a charge of battery and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. She was released after posting bond.
