54-year-old man struck and killed by teen driver on U.S. Hwy. 27 in Leesburg 

A 54-year-old man died after he was struck at about 10 p.m. Tuesday on U.S. Hwy. 27 by a vehicle driven by a teenager.

Terrald Norris was transported to Leesburg Regional Medical Center where he later died.

He had been struck by a 2009 black Jetta Volkswagen car driven by 19-year-old Taylor Walker of Mulberry. The accident occurred at U.S. Hwy. 27 and Griffin Road in Leesburg. 

The crash remains under investigation and anyone with information regarding the incident is encouraged to contact the Leesburg Police Department/Traffic Unit at (352) 728-9860.

It was the second fatal accident in a week in Leesburg involving a teen driver. A 17-year-old at the wheel of a pickup was involved in a fatal collision with a motorcycle last week on U.S. Hwy. 27 in Leesburg. You can read about that accident HERE
