A 51-year-old Fruitland Park man recently released from jail was arrested again Wednesday on a new charge of driving under the influence.
Fruitland Park police had received a report that Karl Chepolis was driving to a Kangaroo station to possibly buy alcohol. The caller indicated to police the fear that Chepolis might hurt someone.
Chepolis was arrested on his second driving under the influence arrest and booked at the Lake County Jail where bond was set at $2,000.
In December, Chepolis had been sentenced to 60 days in jail after pleading no contest to a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was arrested on that charge April 28, 2014.
