57-year-old man arrested while actively cooking methamphetamine

A 57-year-old man was arrested on drug charges after he was arrested while cooking methamphetamine in a backyard in Ocklawaha.

Jesse Steven Judy had been cooking meth in a backyard over an open fire at about 9 p.m. Monday on SE 49th Street Road, according to an arrest report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. During a patdown, Hydrocodone and Morphine were discovered on Judy.

He was arrested on charges of trafficking methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance.

He was booked at the Marion County Jail on $61,000 bond.
