58-year-old man killed when truck leaves roadway in Marion County

A 58-year-old Umatilla man was killed when his truck left the roadway, overturned and hit a fence Saturday night on County Road 42 in Marion County.

The man has not been identified pending notification of next of kin, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

The man had been driving a 2001 Ford F-150 pickup when the accident occurred at 7:05 p.m.

Lake EMS arrived on scene and pronounced the man dead. Speed could have been a factor in the accident, the FHP report indicated.
