64-year-old pronounced dead at The Villages Regional Hospital after vehicle hits two fences

A 64-year-old man from East Lake Weir was pronounced dead Thursday morning at The Villages Regional Hospital after a vehicle he was driving left the roadway and struck two fences before coming to a rest at the edge of a pond.

Gary Hermann appears to have suffered a medical episode immediately before the accident took place at 7:30 a.m. at SE 156 Pl Rd at SE 160 Ave in Weirsdale, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.
