AM-640 WVLG oldies music, no timely information

To the Editor:

Question. Does The Villages have a radio station?
You may say AM-640 WVLG. Mick “Crocodile” Dundee and I say that is not a radio station, it’s just a wannabe. It’s a version of the old Dick Clark’s band stand, nothing but endless music.
At this time of critical/emergency conditions, a real radio station such as Orlando and Gainesville open their phone lines so listeners can share information. I don’t give a rosy, red, rats’ arse if there is dancing on the square, what golf courses are open or closed, softball fields playable or not.
At times like these, give me pertinent, timely information about current conditions that maybe health or life threatening.
These other radio have on air people that can put more than six words back-to-back.
My opinion is that AM-640 WVLG is a waste of space.
