65-year-old driver ticketed after crash at Bichara Boulevard and Avenida Central

A 65-year-old Leesburg woman was ticketed on a charge of failure to yield right of way following an accident at 8:10 a.m. Aug. 12 at Bichara Boulevard and Avenida Central.

Bonita L. Woodberry did not stop at a stop sign on Bichara Boulevard when approaching Avenida Central and struck a vehicle driven by Haley M. Laufersky, 21, of Lady Lake, according to an accident report from the Lady Lake Police Department.

Lake EMS responded to the crash site due to airbag deployment, however, both drivers refused treatment and were not transported.
