67-year-old woman commits suicide with .38-caliber revolver at The Quarters Apartments

The Medical Examiner’s Office is investigating an apparent suicide at The Quarters Apartments in Lady Lake.

Police arrived on the scene at 7 a.m. Friday outside Building 4, according to an incident report from the Lady Lake Police Department. The woman was lying on the ground when police arrived.

A .38-caliber revolver had apparently been used and the woman shot herself in the mouth, according to the report. Five bullets remained in the gun.

The woman left a note in her apartment with regard to keys and property. She also had on her person a do not resuscitate order, a living will and contact information for relatives.
