A 76-year-old man is facing charges that he stalked his ex-girlfriend in the Village of Mallory Square.
The couple reportedly broke up in September. Theodore Charles Armstrong moved out of the residence and the woman changed the locks and the garage door code.
This week, she noticed a garage door opener was missing from her golf cart. It was determined that Armstrong had been at her home on April 2 and left a letter that made derogatory comments about her, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. Witnesses told deputies that they saw Armstrong driving up and down the woman’s street and had seen him leaving her home through the garage. Armstrong denied having been there.
Armstrong is facing charges of stalking, burglary and larceny.
He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on $15,500 bond.
