Daniel A. Maglocco, 79, of The Villages, FL, passed from this life Monday, January 11, 2016. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Alfred and Carmella (Vergona) Maglocco.
Daniel was a graduate of Duquesne University, Mylan School of Pharmacy. He was a pharmacist for over 50 years, most notably at Gardens Drugs in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
Daniel enjoyed playing golf and was an avid Miami Dolphins fan!
He was a resident of Florida for many years residing in Ft. Lauderdale and Boca Raton before coming to The Villages in 2000.
He was married to his loving and devoted wife of 56 years, Shirley Ann who passed on January 2nd of this year.
Daniel leaves his daughter, Diane Bassett (Mark) of Nokomis, FL; sons, Kenneth D. Maglocco (Laurie) of Wellington, FL; Richard A. Maglocco (Sharon) of Delray Beach, FL; four grandchildren, Erin, Daniel, Edward and Diana as well as two sisters, Bernadette Meyer (Stephen) of Sarasota, FL; and Sara Brooks of Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
A Prayer Service will be held for both Daniel and Shirley on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at 4 p.m. A visitation will precede the Prayer Service on Sunday from 2 – 4 p.m. at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, The Villages.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
