Edward F. Kaszubowski, 86, of The Villages, FL, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at The Villages Hospice House, surrounded by his family. He was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He moved to The Villages with his wife Rosalie in 1992 from Buffalo Grove, Illinois. He was a servant to our great nation most of his life as Veteran of the US Navy and a lifetime member of The American Legion Post 347, along with a career working for a Defense Contractor until his retirement in 1992.
Ed was tough as nails, and yet so very loved. He was known by many for his outgoing personality, his incredibly firm grip and handshake, and his propensity of always putting others before himself. He liked to share “a few kind words” with all he met. He lived a full and happy life, traveling the world for his job and enjoying his sports cars, but what he enjoyed most was just being with his family and close friends, sharing laughs and telling stories of his travels.
Ed is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 60 years, Rosalie; Son Ken (Ann) Kaszubowski; Daughter Kathe (Joe) Lucnik; Son Ed (Tina) Kaszubowski; 8 Grandchildren, Kristina Kaszubowski; Midn Joseph Kaszubowski; Missy (Dave) Bergen; Mandy (Grant) Babb; Jessica Lucnik; Tommy Kaszubowski; Brooke Kaszubowski; Paige Kaszubowski; two Great-Grandchildren, Riley Babb; Caroline Babb; and a sister, Rita Addante.
Friends may pay their respects at Beyers Funeral Home, 134 N Hwy 27/441, Lady Lake, FL on Thursday, February 11th from 3 – 5 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, Feb 12th at St Timothy’s Catholic Church, 1351 Paige Pl., Lady Lake, FL at 10:30 a.m., followed by a 12:30 p.m. Interment at the Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL with Military Honors provided by the American Legion Post 347.
