80-year-old Villager’s vehicle stolen from his home in the Ivystone Villas

An 80-year-old Villager who had just finished a game of golf arrived back home back in time to watch a thief drive off in his truck Monday morning.

The Villager left his home in the Ivystone Villas in the Village of Woodbury at 6:15 a.m. to go golf, according to an incident report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

When he returned home later that day, he heard someone starting up his blue 2003 Ford Ranger pickup which was parked in his garage. It then “squealed out of the garage” of his villa, according to the incident report.

“The victim advised he could do nothing except observe the subject drive away,” the deputy wrote in his report.
