An 82-year-old Pennsylvania man was seriously injured Sunday afternoon in an accident in Marion County.

William Heckman had been a passenger in a 2006 Chevy 1500 driven by 50-year-old Jennifer Saint of Dover, Florida, at 1:45 p.m. on Interstate 75, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

Her vehicle collided with a 2010 Land Rover driven by 21-year-old Prabhav Signh of Ocala and then left the roadway and landed on top of a guardrail.

The inside southbound traffic lane was temporarily blocked due to the tow truck attempting to remove the vehicle from the guardrail.

Heckman was transported to Ocala Regional Medical Center. Saint was also transported to ORMC having suffered minor injuries.

Namratha Tarigopula, 18, of Jacksonville, a passenger in the Land Rover, suffered minor injuries.
