Osgood Evans ‘Red’ Griffith

Osgood Evans “RED” Griffith, age 93, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at his home in Leesburg, Florida. Red was born in Macclenny, Florida and spent over 90 years in the Leesburg area. Red worked in Landscapes and Nursery business his entire life, and loved spending time in the outdoors. He had a few hobbies other than working with his plants and his own landscaping projects. He was adored by those who knew him and is fondly remembered by his friends and family for his sense of humor and fun loving nature. He picked no favorites and took great enjoyment teasing everyone. He was pre-deceased by his daughter Judy Griffith. He leaves behind his loving wife of 63 years Rosa; sons – Larry (Susan) Griffith of Leesburg; and Timothy (Natalie) Griffith of Umatilla; a daughter – Wanda Fields of Astatula; 7 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. A visitation at the Page-Theus Funeral Home is scheduled from 11 – 12 p.m., Monday, May 2, 2016. A funeral service will follow immediately at 12 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
