The Community Development District 2 Board is dealing with an abandoned home in the Village of Alhambra.
The utilities have been turned off and there is no one living in the home at 2619 Privada Drive. The emergency contacts for the property have been disconnected.
It does not appear to be in foreclosure, CDD 2 supervisors were told at their meeting Friday morning. Certified mail sent to the home was returned unclaimed.
The property is in obvious neglect with overgrown grass and shrubs.
The board found the property out of compliance after a public hearing. The District will maintain the property as efforts continue to find an owner and bring it into compliance.
Eventually, CDD 2 could take over the property.
“It is a long process,” warned District Counsel Valerie Fuchs.
