Adolph S. ‘Bud’ Franco III

Adolph S. “Bud” Franco, III of Lady Lake, FL passed from this life on November 19, 2016. Born in Newport, RI June 2, 1939 he spent most of his career working for the Department of Defense, NUSC in Newport and Connecticut. He moved to Florida in 2001 where he enjoyed his retirement years playing golf, woodworking, and helping out neighbors. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Carol Heard Franco; son, Adolph S. “Duf” Franco IV of Elizabeth City, NC; daughter, Irene Franco Ayers and husband, Chris of Camden, NC; four step-children, Stephanie Heard Newkirk and husband, Mark of Hollywood, FL, Gwen Heard Reynolds of Dighton, MA, Mark “Butch” Heard and wife, Kim of New Bedford, MA, and Wendy Heard Arrenegado and husband, Manny of Warren, RI; 13 grandchildren; his brother Jack Franco and wife, Shirley of Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Tracy Lynn Franco and sister Joan Tarter Drasko. Services are private.
