Air Force Association to meet in Ocala Airport Sheltair Building

Red Tail Memorial Chapter 136 of the Air Force Association will meet at 7 p.m., Thursday, October 19, 2017 in the Sheltair Building Conference Room, 1200 SW 60th Ave., at Ocala International Airport.
The meeting will be an occasion to belatedly celebrate the 70th birthday of the U.S. Air Force, complete with cake and refreshments. Contact the chapter president, Howard Burke, 352-861-0886, for more information or to join the Air Force Association.
The Red Tail Chapter draws its nearly 500 members from Alachua, Dixie, Citrus, Levy, Marion, Sumter Counties and parts of Lake and Putnam. Some served in other military services; yet others have never been in uniform and joined, often because of their interest in flying, airpower or the history of flight. The chapter meets on the third Thursday of each month unless otherwise noted.
