Allan Richard O’Bryan

Allan Richard O’Bryan, 75, of The Villages, FL, passed from this life Tuesday, October 3, 2017. Born in Detroit, MI he was the son of the late William and Amelia (Jbara) O’Bryan.

Allan was a quality control engineer for Detroit Diesel Manufacturing, Detroit, MI for over 30 years. He was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of the Knights of Columbus, Detroit, MI, the Sons of the American Revolution, Georgia and a member of the American Legion Post #347, Lady Lake, FL.

He and his wife Betty came to The Villages from Dearborn, MI in 2012. His passion was bowling and he was a member of the Fiesta Bowl leagues. He enjoyed golf as well.

Allan is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Betty D. O’Bryan; a son, Michael O’Bryan, Waterford, MI; a daughter, Erin Davis (Tom) of Georgia; sisters, Dorothy Locke, California; Carole Lennis, Daytona Beach, FL; a brother, Roger O’Bryan (Marlene) Jacksonville, FL; three grandchildren, Meghan O’Bryan & Marisa; Justin O’Bryan (Julie) and Michael Davis; two great grandchildren, Charlotte O’Bryan and Connor O’Bryan and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive relatives and friends at a visitation to be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the Hiers-Baxley Funeral and Cremation Life Event Center 3975 Wedgewood Lane, The Villages from 1 to 5 p.m.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society (cancer.org) or the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org).
