Amerikanos Grille manager wanted on warrants tripped up by restaurant’s alarm

Wilfredo Rivera

A Spanish Springs Town Square restaurant manager wanted on warrants was tripped up by the restaurant’s alarm system, leading to his arrest.

An alarm went off shortly before 11 p.m. Monday at Amerikanos Grille. A Lady Lake police officer went to the restaurant to check it out. The officer spoke to restaurant manager Wilfredo Rivera, who was identified by his driver’s license. Lake County Dispatch indicated that Rivera was wanted on warrants charging him with driving while license suspended, attaching a tag to a vehicle to which it was not assigned and no motor vehicle registration.

He was booked at the Lake County Jail and released after posting $2,000 bond.
