Anita P. “Big Red” Gale peacefully passed away at home on August 9, 2017, after a brief illness. She was surrounded by family.

Mrs. Gale was the mother of Teresa Anderson (Umatilla), Jeff Anderson (Tavares), Herb Anderson (Umatilla), Paige Anderson (Gainesville) and Julie Anderson (Umatilla). Grandmother to Brandy Anderson (Umatilla) and Chelsea Ackerman (Apopka) as well as aunt to many nieces and nephews. She is survived by Herb Lewis (brother) of Pikeville, KY, Nada Adkins (niece) of Pikeville, KY and Verona Mays (cousin) of Louisville, KY. She was an exceptional woman and caring mother and will be missed by all those who knew her. She will be cherished for her devotion to her family and friends and for how she made all those that came in contact with her feel welcomed and loved. 

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at the Umatilla Cemetery Annex. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 14, 2017 at the Beyers Funeral Home Chapel.
