Ann Mary Luetje, 78, of Summerfield FL, passed away on Monday, January 9 2017 under the care of Hospice at the Hampton Manor of Belleview, FL. She was the wife of James Luetje for 54 years.

Born in Portland ME she was the daughter of the late Bertha and John MacWilliam. Ann was a Registered Nurse by profession. She was of the Catholic faith. She spoiled her pets, adored her grandchildren, and thoroughly enjoyed her friends. An intensive study of her ancestry was a particular interest and led to exploratory trips from northern Maine to southern Florida. Extensive vacation trips to Australia, New Zealand, and Russia were particularly memorable. Ann and Jim’s 50th anniversary was observed by the whole family at a week’s retreat on the beach at Myrtle Beach NC. Her final retreat was, fittingly, a month-long stay in the summer of 2015 at her beloved Old Orchard Beach, ME where she had spent her childhood summers. Jim and Ann have lived in Summerfield since 2006.

She will be deeply missed by her husband, Jim and daughter, Cheryl Luetje of Belleview FL, and son, James Jr of Union Bridge MD. She has 5 grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 20, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 11528 SE Hwy. 301, Belleview FL 34420. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to the Hospice of Marion County, P O Box 4860, Ocala FL 34478-4860.
