THE VILLAGES – Ardelle B. McGray, 72, died peacefully on July 3, 2014 with her family by her side. She was preceded in death by her parents Grace H. and W. Alfred Baker of Delmar, NY. Ardelle was a graduate of Albany Academy for Girls, Cedar Crest College with a BS in Elementary Education and Lehigh University with an MS in Elementary Education. Ardelle taught in Cohoes, NY and Bethlehem, PA before retiring to raise her family. She loved to travel and spend time with her family. She cherished time spent baking and crafting with the grandchildren. Ardelle was actively involved at First Presbyterian Church in Wildwood, the Association of American University Women (AAUW), Deliver the Difference, and her neighborhood out to lunch group.
She is survived by Ken, her husband of 49 years, son, Bill McGray (Kimber) of Carmel, IN, daughter, Janet Fryer (Steven) of Ambler, PA and five grandchildren, Andrew McGray, Laura McGray, Eric Fryer, Jackson Fryer and Annie Fryer.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at the Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd., The Villages, FL at 11 AM. The family will receive relatives and friends at a visitation starting at 10 AM prior to the service. Interment will be at a later date at Memory Gardens Cemetery & Memorial Park, Albany, NY.
