Armed robbers hit Waffle House in Ocala

A pair of armed robbers reportedly hit Waffle House in Ocala early Thursday.

Marion County sheriff’s deputies responded to the Waffle House located at 3921 West Silver Springs Blvd., in reference to an armed robbery, according to an incident report. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with Waffle House employees, who advised that two black males entered the business and demanded money. The employees stated that one of the suspects pulled out a small handgun and pointed it at them. The suspect then stated that if the employees did not give him the money, he would shoot them, according to the report. The employees advised that the other suspect opened a bag and demanded that they put money in it. Both suspects fled the business on foot. Employees immediately called law enforcement.
