No arrests in armed robbery at Evans Prairie Country Club

No arrests have been made in Monday’s armed robbery at Evans Prairie Country Club, but a spokesman for the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office said detectives are diligently working the case.

The armed robbery took place between 1 and 1:30 a.m. Monday. An employee of the country club was closing up when he was approached by a masked man armed with a weapon.

An undisclosed amount of money was taken.

In all two men were involved in the armed robbery, according to an account the employee gave to detectives.

Both the of suspects are black males.

Evans Prairie Country Club is located at 1825 Evans Prairie Trail south of County Road 466A in The Villages.
