As usual, it’s all about the money!

To the Editor:

As usual, it is all about money! What happens if enough people don’t drop their supplemental insurance and switch to managed care? Will the quality of service decline? Will the patient load of the doctors increase? Will the staffing be reduced? I, for one, am not convinced that dropping coverage with my insurer of over 60 years is worth the chance. I love the Villages Health System and my doctor but I don’t want to lose my freedom of choice just to help the developers make more money. How much is enough?
