Three people transported from scene of crash near Brownwood

Three people were transported by ambulance from the scene of a three-vehicle accident which occurred at about 11 a.m. Saturday on State Road 44 near Brownwood. The collision occurred in the westbound lanes of SR44 near its intersection with Buena Vista Boulevard. Wildwood police, the Villages Public Safety Department and Rural/Metro Ambulance responded to the scene.
