Baby identified as passenger killed in Lake County accident

A six-month-old baby has been identified as a passenger killed in an accident at 7:08 p.m. Saturday on County Road 42 in Lake County.

The name of the baby, Cheyanne Kinggard, was released Wednesday by Florida Highway Patrol. She was a passenger in a 1995 Toyota Tacoma driven by 40-year-old Kimberley Kinggard of Deland. Kinggard suffered critical injuries in the crash. She has also died as a result of those injuries.

Kinggard’s vehicle had been traveling westbound on County Road 42  when her vehicle collided with a 2001 Chevy pickup driven by Jesus G. Vela, 65, of Eustis. He suffered serious injuries and was transported to Florida Hospital in Deland.
