A woman whose car broke down Thursday night near the Morse Boulevard roundabout at U.S. Hwy. 27/441 ran into more bad luck.
When Sumter County sheriff’s deputy were investigating the report of a disabled vehicle, they noticed the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.
The driver, identified as 42-year-old Theresa Mae Strickland of Summerfield, admitted she had a small bag of marijuana and a metal grinder. She said she had smoked marijuana in the vehicle earlier, according to an arrest report.
She was arrested on charges of marijuana possession and possession of drug equipment.
She was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on $2,000 bond.
