Barbara Ann Short, 72, of Leesburg, FL, passed away Monday, November 27, 2017. She was born to Harold and Dorothy (Hart) Ringer in Glens Falls, NY.

Barbara moved to Leesburg 15 years ago from Melbourne, FL, where she lived for 27 years. She was an accountant and Chief Financial Officer for various businesses in the pool construction and maintenance industries. She enjoyed tennis and fishing, and was an active member of the Hawthorne neighborhood, where she lived.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Wayne Short of Leesburg, sons Larry (Jennifer) Short, Port Orange, FL and Jason (Maureen) Short, Mt. Dora, FL, grandchildren Sam, Anthony, Matthew, Jessica, Sam and Katie Short, mother, Dorothy Ringer, Queensbury, NY, brothers Tom (Loretta) Ringer, Hudson Falls, NY and Daniel (Kathy) Ringer, Lake George, NY, sisters Donna Graham, Kingsbury, NY, Cindy (Mike) Ward, Hilton, NY, and Ann (Mike) Palmer, Hudson Falls, NY, and sister-in-law, Leo Ringer. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Ringer and brother-in-law, Rusty Graham.

A wake service will be held on Monday, December 4, 2017 from 5 – 7 p.m. at Beyers Funeral Home in Leesburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Leesburg, FL.
