Barbara Anna Hilliard

Barbara Anna Hilliard, 61 years old, of Leesburg, FL, born May 29, 1956 in Hobgood, NC who later moved to Leesburg, FL from Wendell, NC/Fayetteville, NC passed away on October 20, 2017 at 1:40 p,m from a long battle with cancer. She was the third born child of the late Gervis Winston Hilliard and Beatrice Virginia Hilliard.

Barbara attended Thomas Shields School, Scotland Neck High School. She was a faithful employee of Cumberland County Schools for nineteen years.

Barbara leaves behind to cherish her memories: three sisters Mary Hilliard Johnson of Leesburg, Florida, Gervis Ann Hilliard/Chaney of Fayetteville, NC and Vanessa Hilliard Highsmith of Fayetteville, NC; two brothers Eddie Gene Hilliard of Fayetteville, NC and Robert Lee Hilliard of Selma, NC; three brothers in law: Truman Johnson of Leesburg, FL, Johnny Mayes of White Oak, NC and Vincent Highsmith of Fayetteville, NC; two children: Nicole Hilliard Utley of Wendell, NC and Levon Maurice Hilliard, Sr of Leesburg, FL, and one son-in-law Ronald Utley, Sr; and five grandchildren: Josiah, Joaquin, Levon Jr., Sy’Ria and Jenesis.
