Barbara Arlene Mayoras

Barbara Arlene Mayoras (Daly), age 74, of The Villages, FL passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2014. Barbara was born in Huntsville, Alabama on April 23, 1940. Barbara graduated from Danville High School, Danville, IL. She was married to Richard Mayoras for 54 years. They are the parents of daughters Kelly (Neal) Blacker of NY, Kathy (Brad) Emmert of IN and sons Michael (Cindy) of GA, Mark (Julie) of NC. Barbara had 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Barbara graduated from the University of Illinois with a bachelor and master’s degree. She retired from Purdue University in 2002 where she worked for the Department of Convocations. In The Villages, Barbara was active in AAUW and the Indiana Club. She was also a volunteer at The Villagers for Hospice. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing bridge and Mahjong with her friends. Barbara was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Community. A service will be held at Beyers Funeral Home, 134 N. Hwy 27/441 in Lady Lake, FL at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, October 18, 2014.
