Bat houses and mosquito control

To the Editor:

Has anyone considered or discussed the introduction of Bat Houses to control the mosquito problem. A single bat will eat 6,000 to 8,000 insects per night and a small bat house can hold 300 bats. They are not dangerous or in any way a menace to humans. We have one in our back yard. Many states are using this wonderful creature to help control mosquitos.

Just food for thought. Why ignore the obvious solution?
