Belleview woman critically injured after run over, dragged by vehicle

A 34-year-old Belleview woman was critically injured Thursday morning after she was run over and dragged by a vehicle on County Road 484 in Marion County.

Tina Marie Holcomb had been lying in the southbound lane of County Road 484 when she was struck by a 2006 Honda Odyssey driven by 69-year-old Conn Woolridge of Ocklawaha at 5:36 a.m., according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol. Woolridge had failed to see Holcomb in the roadway and drove over her, the report indicated.

His vehicle dragged Holcomb several feet before he realized what had happened.

Holcomb was transported to Ocala Regional Medical Center.
