Bessie Lenore Brackeen Franklin, age 82, Fruitland Park, FL, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2016 in Leesburg, Florida. Bessie was born in Limestone County, Alabama and moved to the Fruitland Park, Florida area in 1997 from Franklin, Tennessee. Bessie was a Godly woman who devoted herself to her husband and children. She was the consummate helpmate to her husband and strong support for her children throughout their lives. Bessie was happiest when she was toiling in her flower garden and spending time in her yard. She was a member of the Beverly Shores Church of Christ, in Leesburg, Florida. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 64 years James Franklin; a son -–Steve Franklin of Fruitland Park, Florida; her daughter – Karen (Warren) Sexton of Carthage, TN; 3 grandchildren – Michelle (Gregory) Garcia; Moriah Garland; and Jo (Efraim) Zeferino; 5 great-grandsons – Christian Wade; Jonah Zeferino; Jaazieel Zeferino; Lance Garcia; and Evan Garcia; and her great-granddaughter – Noelia Zeferino.
Funeral Services are being planned in Hohenwald, Tennessee.
